Please see the attached picture and details from Mike LaMar
(our boat captain and host) below:
Map to front gate:
From Interstate 70: Entrance road (Borgmann) is off
Route T, 10 miles south of Interstate 70 (Foristell exit 203).
From Highway 94 near Interstate-64 at Weldon
Springs: 16 miles West on RouteD from Highway 94, Left
(south) on Route T, ¾ mile.
The guard at the gate will verify your name on the guest
list (via intercom) to let your car in. Then follow signs to the Clubhouse
(approx. address: 441 Marina Drive)
We will be gathering at the outdoor picnic tables area on
the lake side of the clubhouse (NOT inside the clubhouse); see attached image.
There are a few picnic tables in the shade under the
clubhouse deck. The majority of the picnic tables for large gatherings are in
the tiered patio area. The tables have umbrella holes, but unfortunately
no umbrellas. We may need volunteers to bring patio umbrellas (or look
into renting a few, depending on anticipated turn-out).
There is at least one barbeque grill in the picnic table
area (possibly one or two others – need to double-check).
There is ample beach swimming with some rules, most notably: Children under the age of five or under 3 feet tall must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of nine (9) will not be permitted in the lake unless accompanied by swimmer of at least 14 years. It is a highly recommended policy to have all children under the age of 9 wear a flotation vest whenever within 30 feet of the lake or docks. If you are bringing a young child and already have a floatation vest, it would be a good idea to bring it.

Everyone should bring their own towels for the beach and/or
boating.
We are free to bring whatever food and drink items we want,
but NO GLASS containers are allowed in any of the entire beach and patio area.
The beachside snack bar should be open from noon until 8pm,
with additional food/soft drink/candy/ice cream items for sale, and can also
provide an air conditioned refuge for anyone needing more of a cool-off.
There will be periodic boat rides and towed tubes rides
throughout the day. We will try to get everyone interested out for a
ride. There WILL be life vests available for everyone onboard during boat
rides, but people should bring their own towel onboard if they wish to dry off
after being in the water. Mid-day lake conditions are usually better suited
for tube rides, and anyone is welcome to tube ride (tailored to their thrill
level). The boat is also equipped for waterskiing and wakeboarding,
but lake conditions are usually better for that earlier (or later) when the
water is smoother. Weather permitting, we will try to have the boat ready
for action as early as 0900. Anyone who wants to come out early and ski
or wakeboard is welcome to do so. Depending on level of
athleticism, waterskiing/wakeboarding for the very first time can be a time
consuming prospect, so skiing and boarding may be limited to those who have at
least reached a beginner level of being able to come up. That guideline
might be relaxed, depending on demand, once everyone has had a shot at some
fun.
Guests are welcome to come early and/or stay later to enjoy
the amenities, fishing, outer playground, etc – just please remember to follow
all posted rules, including speed limits on the roads. If anyone is
interested, we can even discuss the possibility of camping at Sherwood’s campground.
